I started this blog a very long time ago with no intention of where I wanted it to go. I just knew I had thoughts to share.
Between then and now, I have become a wife and a mama. I have experienced loss. I have found my voice. I have formed a stronger relationship with my savior. I have changed jobs (multiple times) and have even found myself starting my own business per say. Many of my other roles in life have stayed the same, but I have changed drastically from the inside out.
Learning about how my (health) choices have directly affected my family, I have transitioned our home little by little. Instead of chemical cleaners, we use homemade products using essential oils [see my essential oils page on this blog]; instead of disposable diapers that are full of chemicals and pollute our landfills, we choose to cloth diaper and even save ourselves some moolah over time; instead of using medication for common ailments, we try to find the source (i.e. stress, sleep deprivation, dehydration...) and use essential oils when we feel the need (okay all the time!); instead of completely living on boxed dinners and processed foods, we try to incorporate more whole foods and less mystery ingredients to our meals.
Although I don't succeed in living holistically 100% of the time, I know that the choices that I make are the best for my family and me.
This blog has also gone through a transformation. It has gone from being a place for me to dump random thoughts, recipes, and the like, to a place for me to share my experiences and get others to start thinking about making possible changes for themselves as well. Okay, there will still be random recipes and rants, but the overall point of my blog will be to help you in your quest for less silky lifestyle choices and more crunchy lifestyle choices.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you find yourself planning to visit again soon!
Essentially yours,
Tessa
